The Sound Archive is a Gloucestershire-based independent production company run by two experienced ex BBC staff, Dominic Arkwright (The One Show) and Rosie Runciman. Both are highly regarded in the industry and bring complementary skills to the business. The Sound Archive specialises in online audio and video production for healthcare websites, in particular, for the NHS.
The initial enquiry came by referral from a marketing agency. The Sound Archive wanted a site to communicate its modern technical orientation, while retaining a simple structure. In particular, they wanted a clean, uncomplicated identity for compatibility with NHS branding. The site also had to be fast-loading and stylish, as well as reflecting the contemporary, technology-led nature of the consultancy’s work.
Development of the site concept followed, in conjunction with the distinctive but understated branding demanded by the brief. Ajax technology was deployed to pull diverse text and multimedia into the site’s pages without requiring page reloading. This technology gives a site that looks good, loads fast and is fast and intuitive to navigate.
On completion of the project, The Sound Archive took control of the site. Using our proprietary content management system (Paste Create Publishing System) they independently manage their online presence to add news articles and update pages.
