Description
Distress to Impress is an online custom clothing shop run by the self-pronounced “ambitious punk rock child” named Kitty. The store sells a wide range of customised clothing, made by Distress to Impress and produced in very limited numbers, this makes them very desirable garments. Cutpastecreate were tasked with the job of creating a unique website that reflected Distress to Impress’ colourful and fun ethics, while at the same time made it extremely easy for them to take full control of the day to day running of the website after it was completed, including taking orders, adjusting stock levels, and adding new items to the store.
The Distress to Impress website is built on top of Cutpastecreate’s own Content Management System, this system allows the Distress to Impress crew to easily manage the flow of orders that come through the site daily, as well as update product descriptions, images and stock levels. In addition to the e-commerce aspect of the site, there is also a blog section that can also be easily updated from the same simple interface as the rest of the shop, this means that Distress to Impress can take control of their online image and are free to change any aspect of the site without having to go to Cutpastecreate. This has ensured that the business runs very smoothly without too much user interaction, orders are taken automatically from customers, then at the end of the day orders are packaged and labeled ready for distribution.
